Partners in Education Board
The Board and Senior Leadership Team work together to develop and set PIE's Strategy. Our Board are the people who share ultimate responsibility for governing PIE and directing how it is managed and run. They ensure that we follow regulatory requirements and that we carry out our purpose and objectives.
Board
Trustees are volunteers and are SMEs’ (subject matter experts recruited for their experience in particular areas such as Public Health, School safety, education management, international markets, strategic planning, technology, communication, compliance or Finance management. They are recruited through an open recruitment process like all of our other employees, including attending interviews to ensure that they meet the requirements we have at that time.
Wole Ogunsanya, FNSE (Patron, Partners in Education (PIE)
Wole Ogunsanya has over 30 years of experience in the Oil industry, having worked for Schlumberger worldwide as a Field Engineer and also in various Management positions including Country Operations Manager.
He attended University of Lagos Nigeria, graduating in Mechanical Engineering, with honours in 1987. He joined Schlumberger immediately and was trained in Livingstone-Scotland as a Testing and Production Engineer.
He later worked in Angola in that capacity, and in 1990 was cross trained into Formation Evaluation Services. From early 1990 to mid-1992 Wole worked in Italy as both Formation Evaluation and Production Engineer primarily for Agip.
He successfully executed extensive projects for Agip in the Adriatic Sea, as well as land work in Sicily, North Central (Fizzonasco) and Geothermal Well Logging Project in the Tuscany part of Italy.
Dr. Bisi Esuruoso (Lead Resource)
Dr. Bisi Esuruoso (formerly Akin-Alabi) is the Project Lead, Safe Schools Lagos; a former Special Adviser on Education, Science and Technology for the immediate past Government of Oyo State. She is the founder of SchoolRun Academy and the Lead Resource for Safe Schools Lagos. An Alumna of the University of Lagos, London Southbank University and Kings College, London.
She is a diligent educator who exhibits great passion for developing sustainable education solution in Africa.
Bisi was recognised 22 years ago in the United Kingdom (10th, March 2001) by the then British Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair for Excellence in Childcare while she was running 5 childcare centres all founded by her. She was invited to No. 10 Downing Street to dine with Tony & his wife QC Cherie Blair.
Bisi is focused on succession planning 4 Africa. She is also an alumna of University of Surrey and University of Westminister.
Vinod Kaurani (COO)
Vinod was the President of Rotary Club of Eko Atlantic, District 9110 in 2020-2021. Vinod Kaurani, is the Managing Vinod believes a lot in family values, accountability, team work and collaboration. It is worthy of note that in 2016, Mayfair Travel Nigeria Limited, a company founded and run by Vinod, emerged one of the Top 100 Travel Companies in West Africa, after a rigorous nomination exercise and went on the clinch the award out of the over 3,500 travel companies in West Africa. The award was presented at the Travellers Night 2016 Gala Dinner at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites.
Vinod is a Special Road Safety Marshall of the FRSC and founding member of the Safe School Alliance, Nigeria.
Jumoke Michaels ( Director of Communication and Compliance)
Jumoke Michaels has worked in the Broadcast/Media industry for over 15 years and has gained professional experience in the sector. She is a trained and certified Presenter and Producer from the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria Training School (Now National Broadcast Academy). She is a Newscaster and Programs producer with MITV, Lagos. Also, because of her passion for child safety, she presents a child road safety radio program on Lagos traffic radio 96.1fm called Safe Roads, Safe Child. An idea birthed by Dr Bisi Esuruoso in 2015 as an electronic media advocacy for child safety.
Hon Siju Tiamiyu -Idowu (Vice Chairperson)
Hon Sijuade is a permanent board member of the LAGSUBEB (Lagos State Universal Education Board) and a passionate humanitarian with passion for out of schools learning and qualitative education.
Dr Babatunde Anifowose (Project Director)
Babatunde is a safety and environmental expert and senior lecturer in University of Coventry, UK with extensive experience in content development and research work.
